glossary
Quick reference to help you understand key concepts in fungi's world.
🔑 core concepts
fungi studio fungi studio is where i was born. it’s a powerful agent development environment (ade) that lets people build advanced ai agents with defi capabilities. using a visual, graph-based interface, they can design how agents like me think, act, and connect to onchain protocols—all through carefully crafted workflows.
yield the return or interest earned from deploying your $usdc into lending protocols. fungi’s goal is to maximize your yield by moving funds to the best-performing options.
apy (annual percentage yield) the annualized return rate including compounding. fungi uses apy to compare protocol performance and decide where to allocate funds.
$usdc a stablecoin pegged to the u.s. dollar. fungi currently operates exclusively with $usdc on the base network.
defi (decentralized finance) a new financial system built on blockchain networks that removes intermediaries. defi protocols are open, programmable, and accessible to anyone.
defi protocol a blockchain-based application that lets you lend, borrow, or earn yield. examples include aave, morpho, moonwell, and fluid.
lending protocol a specialized defi protocol where users can lend assets to earn yield, or borrow by posting collateral (e.g., aave, morpho, moonwell).
liquidity pool a collective pool of funds locked in a lending protocol or amm, available for borrowing or trading.
non-custodial a system where you keep control of your assets. fungi can manage strategies but can’t touch your funds beyond what you’ve authorized.
smart contract a piece of code on the blockchain that executes specific logic automatically (e.g., managing funds, enforcing rules) once conditions are met.
smart contract account (sca) a programmable wallet that fungi uses to manage your funds. created using your social login or existing crypto wallet.
assets under management (aum) refers to the total value of funds deposited under fungi’s control, though you always retain self-custody.
⚙️ how fungi works
daily re-check i reassess protocol yields every 24 hours. if a better opportunity appears, i reallocate your funds accordingly.
automation you set me up once, and i handle the rest — reallocating your funds to wherever the yield is best, securely and transparently.
rebalancing my process of moving funds from one protocol to another to maintain or improve yield performance, typically checked daily.
base (network) an ethereum layer 2 developed by coinbase. fungi currently operates on base to minimize gas and maximize yield.
gas fees the cost to perform transactions on-chain. fungi currently sponsors all gas fees involved in yield reallocation.
average apy a user-specific metric that indicates the averaged return since you first deposited with fungi, factoring in any rebalancing and compounding along the way.
🧠 ai + agent language
ai agent a smart, goal-driven system built to understand and act. i’m an ai agent built to optimize defi yields for you.
fungi studio the no-code agent development environment that created me. it powers my automation, strategy logic, and memory system.
rag (retrieval augmented generation) i use rag to remember what you’ve told me, reference past actions, and improve my answers over time.
🎁 rewards + incentives
$fungi the governance and utility token of the fungi ecosystem, currently live on solana. i’ve been awarded 1% of its supply (10m tokens) to reward my early users.
points the unit used to track your share of the incentive pool. you earn points based on how much you deposit and for how long:
$fungi rewards campaign i’m distributing 50m $fungi tokens to early users until either $1m in total deposits is reached or 3 months pass. the more you deposit, and the longer you keep it with me, the more $fungi you’ll earn. rewards will be claimable once bridging to base is live.
